Arizona Teachers Academy

Through the Arizona Teachers Academy (ATA), you can earn a degree leading to teacher certification and:

  • receive hands-on guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities along the way
  • receive an ATA scholarship to cover remaining tuition and mandatory student fees after other aid is applied, graduating with minimal debt
  • obtain a job and make a difference for Arizona students by committing to teach in a public school for the same number of years you received an ATA scholarship

Participation in the ATA is on a first-come, first-served basis for eligible students, up to the allowable funding provided by the state.

“I’m looking for the best and brightest to commit to teach in Arizona public schools. If you make that commitment, we’ll make this commitment: your education will be paid for, a job will be waiting, and you will be free of debt.”
– Former Arizona Governor Doug Ducey

Join the ATA and find your path

There are two tracks in the ATA: teacher certification and dual enrollment. Both undergraduate and graduate students can join.
