    Graduate English Organization

    The Graduate English Organization (GEO) is an organization for graduate students enrolled in an English program at Northern Arizona University. We promote student involvement through social and professional activities. Our primary mission is the PEAKS Interdisciplinary Conference, which we plan and oversee each spring semester on the NAU campus. WE also hold a book sale each semester! Contact us to become involved in teh PEAKS conference, to become involved with our Book Fair, or to socialize with coffee and snacks!     Graduate Student Association of Applied Linguistics

    NAU’s Graduate Student Association of Applied Linguistics is an organization for students enrolled in the MA TESL, TESL certificate, and PhD in Applied Linguistics programs at Northern Arizona University. The mission of the GSAAL is to promote graduate student involvement in the Applied Linguistics community and to provide valuable educational and professional development opportunities.

    Every year, GSAAL is involved in several professional and social activities, including:

    • Coffee with the Faculty
    • Practice Talks
    • Invited Speakers
    • Teaching English Abroad Fair
    • Various Social Activities (Hiking, Bowling, International Dinners, Potlucks, Happy-hours, etc.)

    Sigma Tau Delta

    Alpha Zeta Nu is NAU's local chapter of the international English honors society, Sigma Tau Delta. AZN is a hands-on organization that focuses on building relationships both in the English department and in the NAU community. Membership involves fundraising and participating in career-building activities with NAU professors and successful English alumni.
