Professional Interests
Dr. Wayment's general interests are
in social psychological issues related to self and identity and coping
with negative life events. Her most recent research interests are
concerned with understanding how individuals react to threat and loss
and a general understanding of the bio-psycho-social-spiritual paths
to a "quiet ego." Dr. Wayment is currently the coordinator
of the Interdisciplinary Graduate Certificate in Substance Abuse Education
and Prevention. |

Undergraduate/Graduate
Courses
Dr. Wayment has
taught undergraduate courses in social psychology, research methods,
and community psychology as well as graduate courses in social psychology
and multivariate statistics. Dr. Wayment has also had a consistent
record of involving students in the department's undergraduate research
