| How
to Apply to the Master of Arts Degree in Psychology |
| For admission to our Master of Arts in Psychology graduate program we require a minimum of 18 undergraduate hours in Psychology, including courses in Introductory Psychology, Psychology Statistics, and Research Methods in Psychology.
As a general guideline, we seek applicants with a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 and a minimum of 1000 on the combined verbal and quantitative GRE scores. We do not require the GRE subject test.
Applications for the 2010-2011 academic year are due by February 15, 2010. We recommend that you visit the NAU Graduate College Home Page (http://home.nau.edu/gradcol/) to learn more about graduate study at NAU.

Procedure for Master of Arts Degree in Psychology: |
1.
Complete Graduate College Application (http://www.applyweb.com/apply/northazg/).
2. Professional Statement of Interest. Please submit a Statement of Interest (500-700 words), discussing the following: (a) why you are interested in the graduate program in psychology at NAU; (b) educational, research, and professional qualifications that highlight your fit with our program; (c) career goals; (d) level of independence as student; and (e) level of motivation. For each category provide examples.
3. Have your undergraduate and graduate transcripts sent to the NAU Graduate College.
4. Take the GRE and have your verbal, analytical writing, and quantitative scores sent to the NAU Department of Psychology (school code is 4006 and department code is 2001).
5. Have three letters of recommendation (letter of recommendation form) sent to the Department of Psychology Office.
