Research Topics.

General research areas for the Summer 2009 internship experience include studies of (1) friendship, happiness, and well-being, (2) the psychophysiology of anxiety and stress (3) instructional techniques and teaching practice, (4) anxiety, depression, healthy lifestyles, and heart disease, (5) assessment and treatment of childhood behavior disorders, (6) sexual health, well-being, and risk among diverse cultural groups, (7) work-life interface, workplace diversity, green issues and job stress, (8) perceived similarity, compassion, identification, and the impact of global warming, (9) electrocortical (EEG) and psychophysiological effects of altered states of consciousness (hypnosis, pain, chocolate, etc), and (10) neuroimaging and electrophysiological correlates of attention, memory, and social cognitive processing.
