University Advancement’s mission is to promote Northern Arizona University, enhance its reputation, and foster volunteer involvement and private investment by creating and stewarding meaningful relationships.

Through relations with NAU alumni, and with parents, and employees, community members, foundations, corporations, and associations, University Advancement engages volunteers and contributors that make a positive difference for NAU students.

University Advancement includes:
  • The NAU Foundation, a non-profit organization (IRS code: 501(C)(3)), provides support to NAU through the fiscal management of contributions directed at University priorities.
  • Development dedicated to increasing financial resources for NAU students, faculty, colleges and programs through private gifts.
  • Alumni Relations serves all alumni and friends of Northern Arizona University.
  • KNAU Arizona Public Radio, a trusted source of information, music and entertainment for rural Arizona, and a public service of Northern Arizona University.
