Setting Up a Bb Vista Class

The first time you enter your class, you will need to set it up. Prior to the start date of the class you will have four options when you go to your class in Bb Vista (http://vista.nau.edu):
  1. Set up a blank course
  2. Copy content from another course
  3. Assign a template to this course
  4. Import content from file

If you have taught in Bb Vista before and wish to use the same content (including Cline Library e-Reserves) you will select Copy content from another course and select the Continue button.

LEAD Technologies Inc. V1.01

You will then be able to choose a Bb Vista course from which to copy content.

NOTE: You will only be able to select a course in which you are a Designer.  Choose a course and select the Continue button.

If you accidentally set up a blank course (see below), the e-Learning Center can copy content for you; please send an email with the details of your request to vista-admin@nau.edu.

If you are new to Bb Vista you will select Set up a blank course and select the Continue button.

Course Tools

When you set up a blank course shell you will be taken to a Quick Start Course Tools screen (for more information on Course Tools, view the QuickStart for Instructors). You can choose any tools you will be using in this course. You do not need to choose if you do not plan on using any of the tools in Bb Vista. You can add tools later.
