Views and portraits represent Northern Arizona scenes and people originally prepared for the Coconino Sun.
- Biographic Note:
- Platt Cline, a native of Mancos, Colorado, moved to Flagstaff in 1938. He worked as a reporter and advertising manager at the Coconino Sun newspaper. In 1941 he became managing editor of the Tribune-News in Holbrook. He returned to Flagstaff in 1945 as managing editor of the Sun, which became Arizona Daily Sun. He was named its editor and publisher in 1952 and became president and editor in 1966. He retired in 1976.
He is the author of The View from Mountain Campus: Northern Arizona University in the 1980's, Mountain Campus: The Story of Northern Arizona University, and They Came to the Mountain: The Story of Flagstaff's Beginnings.
