Departmental Facilities
Facilities available in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry provide students and scientists with a variety of instrumentation and resources in order to pursue quality scientific works. The Chemical Analysis Lab and the Computer Labs are available to students during their regular course of study and for faculty-sponsored research projects.
The Chemical Analysis Lab is home to a full suite of chromatographic and spectroscopic instrumentation including: HPLC, LC-MS, GC, GC/MS, UV/Vis, fluorescence, FT-IR and atomic absorption. In addition, many of our faculty are utilizing state of the art equipment and technology to pursue leading-edge research in areas of Analytical, Environmental and Biochemistry.
Each of our two Computer Labs have 22 workstations, a high-speed laser printer, and an A/V station for presentations and multimedia.
Interdisciplinary Facilities, Centers & Institutes
The facilities of the College of Engineering and Natural Sciences at NAU provide a wealth of resources for faculty, staff and students. Among the facilities operated by individual departments are a variety of Centers and Institutes, all of which are available to students.
