The AzEIP Standards of Practice
The AzEIP Standards of Practice were established to ensure that early intervention personnel have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide services that reflect recommended practices to infants, toddlers, and families within the AzEIP system as required under IDEA, Part C.

have developed a system of training, tests, and skill demonstration.
The mandatory components for individual practitioners include:
A Certificate is issued for completion of the Standards of Practice requirements.
The SOP apply to core team personnel who are employed or contracted to provide services to infants and toddlers, 0-3 years of age, through AzEIP, the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), and Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (ASDB).
Core team members include:
- Developmental Special Instructionist
- Occupational Therapist
- Physical Therapist
- Speech-Language Pathologist
- Service Coordinator
