Our program involves study in the use of electronic media in the academic field of communication. The program encompasses the preparation, production, transmission, regulation and management of electronic media messages. Many of the skills emphasized in the program are applicable to other related areas including: film, computer-based multimedia, corporate video production, media sales, public information and media management.
Career Opportunities
The electronic media program at NAU prepares graduates to work in the general fields of multimedia, radio, television and corporate video. Electronic media graduates are prepared for careers which include: producer, director, announcer, anchor, reporter, floor director, camera operator, disk jockey, audio technician, technical director, television or radio host, interviewer, salesperson, audience analyst, lighting designer, set designer, linear or non-linear video editor, production technician, writer, master control operator, news director and for positions in media management.
