Installation and use of the spyware removal software Ad-aware

Click here to go the the AdAware download page. Then click on "Download Now"

1. Click "Open" to install AdAware




2. Click "Next" on the next 3 screens to accept the default installation. Whne the installation completes, you will need to Click "Finish"

3. To launch Ad-aware after it has installed, click the Ad-aware icon on your desktop. After the program opens, click on the "Check for updates now" link above the start button.




4. Click "Connect". It will check to see if an update file is available. If there is an update, you will be prompted to download and install file, click on "OK". Once update has been downloaded and installed, click "Finish".




5. To begin scanning your computer for spyware, click on the "Scan Now" button. Select "Perform smart system-scan". Click "Next". The screen should look something like this while your computer is being scanned for spyware.




6. When the scan has completed, click "Next". A list of the results appear. Check the results you want to remove and click "Next" to remove the spyware from your computer. You will be prompted to verify that you want to remove the items you selected. Click "OK".
