Mac Software Update

It is important to keep your computer up to date with the latest software updates available from Apple. This will enable your programs to run smoother and also to keep you computer up to date in the security area.

1. Run the software update found in the Apple Menu -> Control Panel submenu.
2. Click on "software update" and this box should appear.

   

3. Click on Update Now and check the boxes of the programs you want to update.

4. Then choose install and let it install the updates.

5. It is a good idea to update this as frequently are you can. Once a week is recommended, but if this is too much then every other week will suffice. As you can see in the picture there is an option to update software automatically. This is a great choice as well because it will do it for you and you will not have to worry about manually checking for the latest software updates.
