What on earth is a MAC Address????????????
A MAC address identifies a computer. This has nothing to do with Macintosh computers. Each MAC Address symbolizes one computer. If you have two MAC Addresses already showing, but only computer, it is likely that you switched ethernet cards or modems. If so, it is okay to delete the old MAC Address and register the new one.

How do I find my MAC Address (Windows)?
Our automated system should do this for you, but if doesn't:

Windows NT/2000/XP:
  1. Click Start.....click Programs.....click Accessories.....click Command Prompt.
  2. At the prompt, type (exactly) ipconfig /all (including the space) and press the Enter or Return key.
  3. Half way down the list you should see a section labeled "Ethernet Adapter Local Area Connection." A few rows below this you will find "Physical Address......" followed by a series of letters and numbers like this: 00-X0-X0-00-0X-0X. Write that number down (cannot copy and paste) and type it in the white box after you close the window. Be sure to type it exactly. Case does not matter, but the hyphens are essential!

How do I find my MAC Address (Macintosh)?

Our automated system should do this for you, but if it doesn't:

  1. Go to the 'Apple Menu' / Control Panels / TCP/IP control panel.
  2. Go to the Edit Menu, click on User Mode.
  3. Change the mode to 'Advanced' and click 'OK'.
  4. Click on the 'Info' button.
  5. The 'Hardware Address' will be what you will need.
