The Bookstore offers a 10% faculty and staff discount and a 25% departmental discount, with free delivery of department orders. The Bookstore also places special orders for books and supplies, and rents and sells caps and gowns.

  • End User Computing and Information Services is comprised of three areas: the Help Desk (ext. 3-1511) which offers a wide range of support (software and hardware) to assist NAU faculty and staff members with computer or networking problems; PC Support (ext. 3-9350) which offers PC network support, field service and PC software support; and Mainframe Support (3-9161).
  • Instruction and Research Support Services provides student and faculty network and computing environments that support instruction and research.
  • Other computer-related services are also available.

  • Food Service provides a wide range of catering options suited to match any budget. Events catered include meetings, receptions, and other University functions. Call ext. 3-4981 for a brochure of what Catering Services has to offer.
  • When ordering catering services please provide the Catering Services office with a signed IDB (check Advantage SIGA table for authorized signatories for your AREA/ORGN) for the ordered amount. The University will pay the invoice and your AREA/ORGN will be charged via an IX expense transfer.

  • The Inn is part of the School of Hotel and Restaurant Management and is used as a living laboratory for students of this program. Facilities and services are available to Alumni, members of the NAU Parents Organization, persons doing business with NAU, state and federal employees, and special guests.
  • Facilities available include: 19 guest rooms, the Golden Eagle Lounge, the Garden Terrace Dining Room and conference rooms. Rooms are available per guaranteed reservation only.
  • Garden Terrace Dining Room: Seating for lunch Monday through Friday between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Seating for dinner Tuesday through Friday, sharply at 6:30 p.m. A European style breakfast is served to house guests only, Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and on weekends until 10:00 a.m.
INSTRUMENT LABORATORY

The Instrument Laboratory has the capability to design, produce and/or reproduce some types of mechanical equipment, specialized repair and reproduction of existing tools and equipment, and replacement of parts for equipment no longer supported by the manufacturer. Most materials may be used. The only limitation to the shop is the overall size of the piece to be fabricated. The laboratory charges $10.00 per hour plus the cost of materials involved. Available equipment and services include:
  • Welding, silver solder, brazing for all types of materials, including steel, aluminum, brass, bronze and castings; three lathes for turning applications, such as shafts and rotational holding devices; two bridgeport milling machines able to produce fixtures and holding components of various shapes; cutting and shaping tools to work with wood and all plastics; and tools to support many bending, grinding and drilling applications.

Cline Library provides library and information services to the University in support of study, teaching, and research.
  • The library purchases books and periodicals in support of the University's curricular goals and mission.
  • The library purchases CD-ROM products, operations software, and equipment for computer workstations and other library operations.
  • The NAU-VISTA Information System enables faculty and students access to an online information network with Arizona State University and other academic libraries.
  • Library staff assist faculty and students in the use of CD-ROM and other information retrieval tools and products located in the Library.
  • Library staff offer bibliographic instruction and library tours to library users.
  • The Library maintains a Typing and Computing room for the convenience of library users.
  • The Library provides copy machines strategically placed on each floor of the building for the convenience of users.
  • The Library's Special Collections and Archives (SCA) department coordinates the University's records management policy. SCA preserves manuscripts and other Library archives.

  • Provides centralized access to instructional media and audiovisual equipment to the University.

  • Maintains individual media carrels and film/video screening rooms to access instructional media.
  • Provides audio tape duplication services within copyright laws. (Please note: NAU Television Services, not the Library, offers video duplication services.)
  • Writes educational specifications for instructional media and equipment.
  • Provides consultation services to academic departments and other University entities on media equipment application, current trends and practices.
  • Maintains standardized parts inventory to service and repair AV equipment.

  • Telephone Services: Provides a variety of voice communication services, including operation of the campus telephone system and provision of local and long distance calling. Telecomm-NAU also performs moves, additions and changes on the University's telephone equipment.
  • Network and Telecommunication Services: NAU also provides lines to hook-up facsimile equipment.
  • Data and Video Services: Provides consulting and installation on a wide range of data networking and video communications. The data services are often provided in conjunction with Computer Services.
  • Training Services: Provides training concerning telephone etiquette as well as the operation and use of equipment/phone system.

  • Coordinates the writing, editing, design and printing of the University's highest-profile publications; offers the same services to any department seeking help with a publication.
  • Offers a full range of printing and duplicating work, from quick copies to four-color work.
  • Provides an array of photographic services, including an archive of more then five thousand images in color or black and white. Also provides photography services for any department or group activity, photographs group or individual portrait, passport photos, souvenir photos, and news pictures (coordinated through University News).
  • Produces home pages for the World Wide Web. Also consults on development of home pages.
  • Prints brochures, business cards, letterhead, envelopes, NCR forms, posters and course packs.
  • Prepares printing specifications and solicits and evaluates bids for the University's highest-profile publications. This service is also available to customers whose printing will be done by off-campus vendors.
  • Reviews mailing pieces - envelopes, fliers, bulk mail, etc. - to ensure they meet requirements of the U.S. Postal Service and NAU Postal Services.
  • Assists staff and faculty with questions about use of University logos.
  • Offers environmentally-safe inks and a wide selection of recycled paper.
RECYCLING

  • NAU’s recycling department, NAU Recycles, is responsible for collecting recyclable material from all campus buildings, including residence halls. In addition, NAU Recycles’ staff provides tours and educational programs to faculty, staff, students, and off-campus groups.
  • Collected material is transported to NAU’s on-campus processing facility, where it is prepared for shipment to various recycled material markets. Recycled materials collected at NAU include: white paper, color paper, newspaper, cardboard, aluminum and steel cans, scrap metal, books, catalogs, glass, and plastic.
