The Advantages of an NAU Education
The small classes and close, personal contact with professors that are typical of the educational environment at NAU are ideal for the student interested in pursuing a career in the biomedical professions. The availability of a full-time preprofessional advisor, of tutoring, and of study skills workshops ensure that students can be supported academically in their efforts to attain the high grades required for admission to the health professions schools. A successful academic record is critically important in admissions decisions. The choice of undergraduate institution, on the other hand, is not a major factor in admissions decisions. Attending the University of Arizona because the medical school is there, or attending NAU because the physical therapy school is here, will not increase one's chances for admission to either professional school.
