M.S.: Nurse Generalist Track
We designed this plan for the RN who desires to build a professional clinical foundation of practice exploring a selected emphasis relevant to his or her goals of advancement. While not a specialty focus, this plan allows the RN with a prior baccalaureate degree to continue to develop expertise within a desired emphasis as either an interim or final academic credential.
This 30 credit plan requires the following:
Required graduate nursing courses (16 credits):
NUR 510, NUR 520, NUR 530, NUR 560, NUR 605, NUR 675
An emphasis area that include 3 courses (9 credits) from the following:
NUR 501, NUR 540, NUR 550, NUR 562, NUR 630, NUR 650/651, NUR 570, NUR 572, or other elective approved by advisor
In addition, all students will complete clinical field work in relation to the completion of their Evidence Based Practice Project (5 credits):
