Application Process

To be considered for STAR, you must complete the following steps:

1. Apply and be admitted to Northern Arizona University.  You can complete and submit your NAU application online at Undergraduate Admissions NOTE:  When offered admission to NAU, you will be required to submit a $150.00 enrollment deposit to accept your admission.  We cannot select you for the STAR program until you have been admitted and paid the enrollment deposit.

2. Submit a STAR Program Interest Form to the Multicultural Student Center.

3. Complete the STAR Financial Information Worksheet and mail it to the Office of Financial Aid.

Selection Process

Once we receive your interest form and financial information worksheet, we will send you additional information about the STAR program.  When your file is complete, we will be able to make a decision regarding your application.  We will begin reviewing applications for the program beginning in February 2007

During the selection process, applicants who meet all three of the eligibility criteria will receive first priority.  Applicants who meet two of the eligibility criteria are given second priority and those who meet only one of the criteria are given third priority.  However, applicants who complete the NAU admission process and STAR application process early are more likely to be selected. 

Once selected for the program, we will send you a confirmation letter and check-in packet.  To reserve your spot in the program, your confirmation letter must be returned no later than May 1, 2007.

Remember:  The sooner you complete the process, the sooner we can select you for the program!
