  • Welcome to STAR!

Since 1989, the Multicultural Student Center (MSC) at Northern Arizona University (NAU) has provided new freshmen with the opportunity to participate in the Successful Transition and Academic Readiness (STAR) program.  This innovative and exciting program is designed to assist students with making the important transition from high school to college.

Features of the program include special academic instruction, creative residential programming, an introduction to a wide array of campus resources, and events and activities to familiarize students with the academic and social opportunities on our campus.

In five short weeks, STAR students will earn six university credit hours, participate in supplemental academic instruction, live in the STAR residence hall, develop leadership skills through Club STAR, experience campus life and connect with 180 other new students!
