Wireless Laptop Check-out for NAU Students
To check-out a laptop for use within the library, go to the Media Services Desk. You will need your NAU student ID card.
To schedule the use of a laptop, call Media Services at 523-6820 or go to the Media Services Desk.
The Library's laptop check-out service is funded by the NAU "Driving Student Success" IT fee.
- Laptops are checked out for use in the library only.
- Laptops may be used anywhere in the building.
- Loan period is 4 hours or until closing time.
- Renewal period is 2 hours pending availability.
- Laptops may be scheduled for use by calling 523-6820 or going to the Media Services Desk.
- Reservations are accepted no more than 7 days in advance.
- Reservations will be held no more than 10 minutes past the scheduled time.
- Overdue, damaged, or lost laptops:
- $20 per hour overdue fee
- $200 maximum overdue fee
- 10 hours overdue and the laptop is assumed lost.
- $2500 maximum replacement cost
- At the first warning of low power, save your work to a USB drive or a remote storage location, turn off the laptop & return it to Media Services for battery replacement.
- Files saved to the laptop will be lost when it is powered off.
- Battery life may be up to 4 hours.
