SAS is a full featured statistical and data mining tool.
The current version is available for teaching and research only. Administrative users of SAS must use the version available through Virtual Lab (vlab).

SAS is available on Windows computers only.
How to Request
Faculty and staff may purchase SAS through the ITS Software Store.
Students may purchase SAS by contacting the Student Technology Center.
Cost / Pricing
You may purchase and install SAS for the yearly fee (due each July 1st) of $70 (license only).

ITS personnel cannot assist with statistical interpretation. What we can do is help with errors resulting from problems with the statistical program in question. There may be times when you will be required to contact either SPSS or SAS yourself to resolve some issues. For more information please visit our Statistics Support page.

JMP software is an interactive data visualization and statistical analysis tool.
SPSS/PASW is a computer program used for survey authoring, data mining, text analytics, statistical analysis, and collaboration and deployment.
ITS supports three statistical programs at NAU: SPSS, SAS, and JMP.
Training & Documentation
General Information Academic Computing also assists in survey processing and Faculty evaluation processing. ITS is able to supply (for a nominal charge) scan forms that you may employ in your survey based research.
