Voicemail Conversion from Communite to Microsoft Exchange Unified Messaging

All individual voice mailboxes should be using Microsoft Exchange Unified Messaging (UM). The V.M. button for Voice Mail on Aastra phones has been changed to dial the Exchange UM access number 523-0076 instead of Communite. Individual Communite mailboxes are being deleted after it has been confirmed that all old messages have been processed. Messages left in the Communite voice mailbox prior to the conversion should be accessed and erased or saved if needed (see link below) as soon as possible

Communite voicemail boxes still serve most departmental voice trees and Automated Call Distribution (ACD) groups. Those will be converted to Microsoft Exchange by the end of Spring semester next year. The Communite access number will remain the same (928-523-6225).

Announcements

The remaining Communite applications will be converted to Microsoft Exchange Unified Messaging

The remaining Communite applications will be converted to Microsoft UM on a department-by-department basis. These remaining applications are voice trees (press 1 for …, press 2 for …) and mailboxes associated with ACD groups (call centers).

Who will be Affected?

All Faculty and Staff

All faculty and staff now should be using Microsoft Exchange for individual and shared voice mailboxes associated with the NAU telephone systems at the NAU mountain campus and statewide sites.
