It has been a little over a year since NAU’s Information Technology Services purchased a campus-wide license to Lynda.com for all students, faculty, and staff. This week the ITS Learning and Professional Development team released an information graphic to update the campus on how the NAU community is using their Lynda.com subscription, and to help spread the word about the resource.
By logging into nau.edu/lynda, faculty, staff and students have access to the entire Lynda.com library, which contains more than 2,290 training videos from recognized industry experts on a broad range of subjects—from how-to resources on popular software packages like Abode CS6, Microsoft Office and Blackboard Learn, to general courses on photography, graphic design and other critical 21st century skills.
All of these courses include course exercise files that allow users to follow along with the instructor as they learn and certificates of completion that can be included in a professional portfolio.
One of the real benefits of Lynda.com training is that you can use it as a deep course in a given topic, or hit it for just-in-time tutorials to solve a particular challenge in a technique, a tool, or piece of software. This flexibility gives you access to knowledge as you need it, when you need it, and how you need it.
Explore the catalogue and learn what you can be learning. It's intoxicating to increase knowledge and skill. Jump into Lynda.com!
