The fall semester witnessed
the first use of the Action Center in the MyNAU Portal. The Action Center
provides another method of communicating critical information with
students. Students logging into the
portal are immediately aware of any action alerts that require their attention.

The
introductory messages provided valuable insight into MyNAU usage by students. Over 21,000 students visited the MyNAU portal
between December 8 and December 23. The
enrollment messages targeted full-time students enrolled in less than 15 units. A total of 4938 students received a message prompting them to enroll in additional
courses; 2000 students viewed the message and enrolled in 5000 classes.
The end of
the fall semester and the start of the spring semester saw additional messages
distributed, and on-going analysis of Action Center message effectiveness
continues to be promising.
- 33 percent increase in enrollment activity from December 8 through December 23, 2011, compared to the same time range in 2010.
- 70 percent of students placed on academic probation
have adjusted their enrollment to align with the 13 unit cap as directed in
their Action Center message.
- As of January 23, 79 of the 191 enrollments in the
EPS 199 Back on Track course for Flagstaff freshmen occurred after students
viewed their action center message—this accounts for 40 percent of enrollment and
contributes to the doubling of EPS 199 enrollment compared to last year.
