How to Uninstall a Program
Uninstalling Programs
If your computer is running slow, or if you need to uninstall old or broken programs here are the instructions to do so.
Mac OS X
- Open the 'Finder' and navigate to the 'Applications' folder.
- Find the program you wish to uninstall, select it and drag it to the 'Trashcan'.
- Right-click on the 'Trashcan' and select 'Empty Trash'.
Windows Vista/7
- Click the 'Start' menu, then 'Control Panel'.
- 'Programs and Features' or a 'Programs' icon with a link to 'Uninstall a Program'.
- Select the program you wish to uninstall, then click the 'Uninstall' button at the top of the menu.
- Follow the prompts to uninstall the program.
Windows 8
- Go to the Start Screen and start typing in "Control Panel". When the Control Panel app pops up click it.
- Underneath the 'Programs' icon, click or tap on 'Uninstall a Program'.
- Select the program you wish to uninstall, then click the 'Uninstall' button at the top of the window.
- Follow the prompts to uninstall the program.
