ITE-4 telephone To place a call on hold, press the [HOLD] button. Place the telephone handset on-hook.
To retrieve a call from hold, simply lift the handset.
Conference
Allows up to six parties to be joined in one call. It is recommended that no more than three parties be external
(for best transmission).
Begin from dial tone:
- Dial first party, announce conference
- Press the [ACCESS] feature button and #1
- Dial next party, announce conference
- Press the [ACCESS] feature button and #1
(All parties joined in conference; repeat steps to add parties)
To rejoin conference if called number is busy/unanswered;
- Hang up, then lift handset; you will hear dial tone.
- Press #1
NOTE: An ITE user must remain in their conference. This would be a digital telephone like you
are using.
Abbreviated Dialing
This feature allows you to program 10 of your most frequently dialed numbers. You will need to assign each telephone
number a reference number. Reference numbers are 0-9
To store or change an abbreviated dial number:
- obtain dial tone on your line
- press # 4 *
- dial reference number, then number to be stored. (don't forget to dial the 8 for off-campus numbers)
- hang up
To place an abbreviated dial call:
- obtain dial tone on your line
- press # 4
- dial appropriate reference number (0-9)
Call Forward All
Allows calls to be forwarded to another extension.
System Tones
Tones generated by the system provide information about a call.

Transfer
- Transfer - Unannounced; Press the [XFER] button, listen for the dial tone then dial in the
number (5 digit on campus) you want to transfer to. Hang up.
- Transfer - Announced; Press the [XFER] button, listen for the dial tone then dial in the
number (5 digit on campus) you want to transfer to. Announce the call then hang up. If the number you are
transferring to is busy or no answer, press the [XFER] button to get back to the original caller.>
- Transfer - 3 Way Conference; Press the [XFER] button, listen for the dial tone then dial
in the number (5 digit on campus) you want to conference in. Announce the conference then press the [XFER]
button again. All 3 parties are connected.
Voice Mail
To access the voice mail system,
- Press the CLBK feature button (you can also dial *5)
When you have a new message in your voice mailbox, the "single" lamp on the phone will flutter.
Last Number Redial
Redials last off-campus number dialed
- select line
- obtain dial tone
- press #9;
number is redialed
System Ringing
The system has different rings to identify the type of incoming call.

Telephone Cleaning
If the casing of the phone appears soiled, simply use alcohol on a soft rag
or paper towel and wipe the casing. Do not pour liquid on the phone!

STE - Single Line Analogue Telephone
Hold
To place a call on hold, press the switchhook; Press * 4.
To retrieve a call from hold, lift handset; Press * 4.
Transfer
- Transfer - Unannounced; Press the switchhook, listen for dial tone, Press * 1, then
dial in the number you want to transfer to
- Transfer - Announced; Press the switchhook, listen for dial tone, Press * 1, then dial in
the number you want to transfer to. Announce the call then hang up. If the number you are transferring to is
busy or nobody answers, press the switchhook, then * 1 to get back to the original caller.
Call Forward
Allows calls to be forwarded to another extension.
(If you are going to be gone from your office, and you do not want callers to hear your phone ring 4 times before
they go into your mailbox, you would manually forward your line to x3-6225. Callers would immediately go into
your voice mail.)
To forward all calls;
- select line you want forwarded
- lift handset
- press * 3
- key in number where calls are to be forwarded
- hang up
To cancel forwarding;
- select line
- lift handset
- press # 3
- hang up
NOTE: When your phone is manually forwarded, you can not answer live. Your phone will give you no
notification that it is manually forwarded, except when a call comes in, you will hear a very short ring.
Call Pickup
Allows you to pick up another ringing line from your phone.
- select line
- lift handset
- press # 7
Ringing extension is retrieved.
