Now You'll Never Miss A Call
It's easier than ever to stay in touch because you've added Verizon Voice
Mail to your cellular service! Even if you are not available, you'll still
be able to receive important messages. There are no airtime charges to
you when callers leave messages, or when you check your messages and return
less urgent calls from a conventional phone.
It's Easy To Get Started
Here is how to set up your voice mailbox for the first time:
ACCESSING THE VOICE MAIL SYSTEM
1. With your wireless phone turned off,
call your wireless number from any touchtone landline phone.
2. When you hear the recorded announcement,
interrupt it by pressing

3. When you are asked to enter your temporary
password, press
plus the last
four digits of your mobile number.
4. Follow the prompts to change your password
and to record a greeting.
TIP: If you smile when you record your
personalized greeting, it comes across in your tone of voice!
Once you've set up your mailbox, you can access Voice Mail simply by entering

from your wireless phone. Or, dial your wireless number from a touchtone
phone. When the recorded announcement begins, interrupt it by pressing

then enter your password to retrieve your voicemail messages.Time Saving Tips

Note: Call Forwarding preempts Voice Mail
but returns when forwarding instructions are canceled. With Call Forwarding
turned on, your callers will not be routed to your voice mailbox. Call Forwarded
calls to a toll number will incur toll charges.TIP:
Call your wireless number from any touchtone phone to familiarize yourself
with the system details.

MESSAGE NOTIFICATION
When you're in your Home Service Area, and your phone is turned on, your
phone alerts you as soon as you receive a message. Generally, an
appears, and depending on your model of phone, it may blink if the message
is urgent.
If your phone is off, you will be notified
of messages as soon as you turn it on. You cannot be notified of new messages
if your phone is turned off, you're on the phone, you're outside your
Home Service Area, or your phone's message memory is full. *

MESSAGE DELIVERY WHEN TRAVELING
When you're outside your Home Service Area:
- Voice Mail: Your message will be
delivered to your voice mailbox, but the voice mail icon
will not appear on your phone's display.
- Numeric Page and Text Message:
To ensure that you receive Numeric Pages (Callback Numbers) or text
messages, Verizon Wireless' Digital system will (attempt to) deliver
it for up to 72 hours. However, if your phone isn't active in your Home
Service Area within that time, your messages will not be delivered.
