How to Change Your Passwords (Windows XP)

User Password

You can change your user password in Windows XP by following these step-by-step instructions.

Step 1

Change Cached Password XP 1
Left-click the "Start" button in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.

Step 2

Change Password XP 2
Left-click "Log Off" in the Start menu.

Step 3

Change Password XP 3
When you see the above window, press CTRL-ALT-DELETE as instructed.

Step 4

Change Password XP 4
Type your NAU ID and Password into the appropriate fields.  In the drop-down menu, make sure NAU is selected.  Left-click "OK" to log on.  Your user password has been updated.

NAU Secure Wireless

You can change your NAU secure wireless password by following these step-by-step instructions.

Step 1

Change Secure Password XP 1
Left-click the "Wireless Network" icon near the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

Step 2

Change Secure Password XP 2
In the dialog box, left-click "View Wireless Networks."

Step 3

NAU Wireless 1
Left-click "NAU" in the list.

Step 4

NAU Wireless 2
Left-click "Connect."

Step 5

Change Secure Password XP 5
Type your NAU ID and password into the appropriate fields.  Type "NAU" (without quotes) into the "Logon domain" field.  When you are finished, left-click "OK."  Your NAU Secure password has been changed.
