- 7 GB of free hard drive space is recommended
- AirDrop is supported on the following Mac models: MacBook Pro (late 2008 or newer), MacBook Air (late 2010 or newer), MacBook (late 2008 or newer), iMac (early 2009 or newer), Mac mini (mid 2010 or newer), Mac Pro (early 2009 with AirPort Extreme card and mid 2010 or newer).

- You will need to Agree to the license agreement to continue
- Select the drive you want to install Lion on
- Click Install

- The OS installer is stored in the OSX 10.8 folder in two forms, an application and a disk image. To upgrade existing systems running Snow Leopard (10.6.8) or Lion (10.7.x) to Mountain Lion, copy the “Install OS X Mountain Lion.app” application into the Application folder of the target system and then run it. (Do not run the installer from the network share, your install will fail) The installer requires an Internet connection on the target machine.
- To install using the disk image open the DMG file located on the NAU Shared drive
- When the DMG file opens drag the Install Mac OS X Lion onto your desktop
- Double click Install Mac OS X Lion off of your desktop
- When the Mac OS X Lion install window opens Click Continue
- You will need to Agree to the license agreement to continue
