The Learning & Professional Development (L&PD) team
within ITS manages two computer labs for ITS training purposes. While these labs are primarily for our own
training purposes, we do allow ITS and other departments to utilize our lab
while we are not using them.
Our two labs are managed and created for ITS training
purposes. Therefore, we give priority to
training requests. Requests and
reservations for the lab that conflict with a training request may be forfeited
to accommodate the training request.
A request to use our labs does not guarantee a lab
reservation and we reserve the right to refuse anyone access to our labs.

Requesting the Lab
To request our lab, please use the Lab request form. You will need to include the
following information:
- The primary contact for this request
- The purpose for scheduling the lab
- The number of seats needed
- The date and time
- Any additional needs
Once the request is submitted we will respond to your
request within 24 business hours. A
request to use our labs does not guarantee a lab reservation and we reserve the
right to refuse anyone access to our labs.
All lab reservations will be scheduled a half
hour before the requested start time for the reservation. This time is to ensure the instructor has
time to prepare the lab and be there for anyone who shows up early to the
reservation. It is REQUIRED that someone
responsible for the lab reservation is present for this half hour period.
A member of L&PD will be present at the scheduled start and end or your reservation. We ask that you arrive on time to your reservation. If you are going to arrive late, your reservation will conclude early, or you need to cancel your reservation. Please contact the L&PD team as soon as possible so that we may adjust our schedules accordingly.

Food and Drink
We do allow food and drinks in our labs. However, we ask that all beverages are in a
container with a lid that will prevent spills and we ask that any messes made
by food and drinks be cleaned. This
includes throwing your trash away and wiping up any messes using the wet wipes
that can be found in the Instructor podium.

Instructor Responsibilities
Prior to the lab reservation, we require a person whose name
is on the reservation to be present for the half hour block we will reserve for
them prior to their requested reservation time.
During this time, it is your responsibility to prepare the lab for your
reservation. This preparation time will
also be used for L&PD assistance in setting up special requests such as
teleconferences.
A member from L&PD will be present at the start and end of your scheduled reservation. If you are going to be late to your reservation, your reservation will be ending early, or you will not be able to make a reservation, please notify L&PD as soon as possible so that we may adjust our schedules accordingly.
In order to maintain the cleanliness, security, and
functionalities of our labs, we ask that every instructor go through this small
checklist before leaving the lab.
Failure to do so may result in denial of future lab requests.
