Outlook 2013: Setting Up Email

You can set up a new email account in Outlook 2013 by following these step-by-step instructions.

Step 1

Open Outlook and left-click "File" on the far left-hand side of the ribbon.

Left-click "Account Settings."

Left-click "Account Settings" in the menu.

In the "Account Settings" window, make sure the Email tab is selected and left-click "New."

Type your name (first and last) into the appropriate field.  Type your email address in the form "abc123@nau.edu" without quotes where "abc123" is your NAU User ID.  Type and retype your password into the appropriate fields, and left-click "Next."  Let the setup run, and on the next page, left-click "Finish."  Your Outlook 2013 email account is now set up.
