DHCP for Mac OS X
This guide assumes that if your Macintosh is a newer portable without a built-in Ethernet (RJ-45) jack, you are using an Apple branded USB-to-Ethernet adapter.
- From the Apple Menu choose System Preferences, then Network.
- If the padlock icon on the bottom left is locked, click it and input your password.
- Select “Ethernet” from the list on the left.
- Select “Using DHCP” from the pop-up menu on the right.
- Click the “Apply” button to save changes.
- Close the window.
