Bookmarking webpages

  1. Open Firefox and left-click the "Bookmarks" icon (it has a star on it) in the top right-hand corner of the window.
  2. Left-click "Bookmark This Page" in the menu.
  3. You can change the name of the bookmark and the folder it will be stored in, or you can leave it with the default name and folder. When you are finished, left-click "Done." The current web page is now bookmarked.

Exporting Bookmarks

  1. Open Firefox and left-click the "Firefox" button in the top left-hand corner of the window.
  2. Left-click "Bookmarks" in the menu, then left-click "Show All Bookmarks" in the second menu.
  3. In the dialog box, left-click "Import and Backup."
  4. Left-click "Export Bookmarks to HTML" in the menu.
  5. You can change the name of the export file or keep the default name. Make sure the "Save as type" pull-down menu is set to "HTML Files." When you are finished, left-click "Save." Your Firefox bookmarks have now been exported to an HTML file.

Importing Bookmarks

  1. Open Firefox and left-click the "Firefox" button in the top left-hand corner of the window.
  2. Left-click "Bookmarks" in the menu, then left-click "Show All Bookmarks" in the second menu.
  3. In the dialog box, left-click "Import and Backup."
  4. Left-click "Import Bookmarks from HTML" in the menu.
  5. Find the HTML file containing your bookmarks and left-click it. Once it is selected, left-click "Open." Your bookmarks have now been imported from the HTML file into Firefox.

  3. In the dialog box, left-click the "Import and Backup" button, then left-click "Export Bookmarks to HTML..."

  4. You can change the name of the export file or keep the default name. You mat also choose a location to save the file or keep the default location. Make sure the "Format" pull-down menu is set to "HTML Files." When you are finished, left-click "Save." Your Firefox bookmarks have now been exported to an HTML file.

Importing bookmarks

  1. Open Firefox and left-click the "Bookmarks" button in the top right-hand corner of the window.

  3. In the dialog box, left-click the "Import and Backup" button, then left-click "Import Bookmarks from HTML..."
