Happy Thanksgiving
Next week is Thanksgiving, and the university will be closed Thursday and Friday in honor of the holiday. Inside NAU will not publish Nov. 26, but will return as scheduled Dec. 3.

President plans budget address
The university-wide address on NAU’s budget is planned for 3 p.m. Dec. 1 in the High Country Conference Center.

President's annual Holiday Reception
It might be cold outside, but there will be plenty of warmth at the annual President's Holiday Reception from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, in the High Country Conference Center.

Working hard is adding up for Sarah Baird, a math coach in the Kyrene School District named Arizona Teacher of the Year for 2009.

NAU to offer domestic partner tuition assistance
The program for eligible NAU faculty and staff and their dependent children will become effective in January.

NAU is in magazine's top 50 of green colleges
Kiwi magazine's 2008 Green College Report features Northern Arizona University as one of the top 50 colleges that have "jumped on the sustainability bandwagon."

The NAU Bookstore will celebrate Faculty/Staff Appreciation Day on Friday, Nov. 21, with book signings from faculty and prominent local authors from noon to 2 p.m.

Donate clothes and get bookstore discount
The NAU Bookstore is giving a 10 percent discount to people who donate during a clothing drive to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flagstaff. A drop box for clothes will be in front of the bookstore until Dec. 12.

Soccer’s tournament game to be rebroadcast
NAU Television Services will rebroadcast the NCAA Tournament game against Portland at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20. It will be simulcast on three stations, including channels 4 and 59 on NPG Cable in Flagstaff and Universityhouse (Dish Network 9411).

Correct 'Messiah' ticket pricing
An article in last week's Inside NAU regarding NAU's Messiah sing-along at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, in Ardrey Auditorium contained incorrect ticket pricing for faculty and staff. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and NAU faculty and staff. Tickets for NAU and Coconino Community College students are $5.
