The Arizona Early Intervention Program (AzEIP) is the statewide system of supports and services available to families of children birth to three years of age who have disabilities or developmental delays. Early intervention brings families and professionals together, working to support childrens' growth, development and learning. Early intervention builds upon a child and family's strengths. Early intervention focuses on enhancing the ability of families to support their childrens development.

The Institute for Human Development (IHD) contracts with the Arizona Early Intervention Progream to provide AzEIP eligibity, evaluations and program planning for families with young children with disabilities. The project at IHD, called AzEIP FIRST in contracted to serve Coconino County except on the Navajo Nation and Yavapai County.
