Winona Reid (Navajo), M.Ed., Project Coordinator for the CBAIP, received her Master of Education degree in Counseling and Human Relations from Northern Arizona University. Ms. Reid has worked for eight years with existing American Indian and Alaska Native vocational rehabilitation (VR) programs, and interested American Indian tribes and Alaska Natives in the development of tribal rehabilitation proposals for RSA funding available through the Department of Education, Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services, Rehabilitation Services Administration.
Ms. Reid has presented at national conferences on various topics on grant development, grant program implementation and grant management. In addition, Ms. Reid has assisted with several conference planning committees for the National and Mid-Year American Indian Vocational Rehabilitation Conferences.
From February 2002 to January 2005, Winona served on the Board of Directors for Native Americans for Community Action, Inc. located in Flagstaff, Arizona. She was nominated as Vice-President in 2002 and in 2003 nominated as the President of the Board. Her prior work experiences include working for a BIA boarding school on the Navajo Reservation and working for the Social Research Laboratory at Northern Arizona University.
Instructional Senior Specialist - Ron Crawford

Ron Crawford, Instructional Specialist Senior for the Capacity Building for American Indians Project. Mr. Crawford recently joined the CBAIP in January, 2006. He graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and Spanish, and from the University of Illinois with a Masters degree in Teaching English as a Second Language. His work experience has included being a Resident Advisor, and a Camp Coordinator. He looks forward to the challenges of the grant writing process, and hopes to help better the lives of American Indians, Alaskan Natives and minority entities.
