Field Trips
" I couldn’t believe it when I saw the Grand Canyon for the first time. I learned so much about the geology and the people who lived there. The colors, the big spaces, the clean air- it was amazing! "
PIE fieldtrips are both recreational and educational. Students have the chance to visit interesting and beautiful places while learning about the local history and culture. PIE students and instructors visit a variety of scenic attractions, including the Grand Canyon, the Museum of Northern Arizona, Sedona, and other interesting sites near Flagstaff.
Extracurricular Activities
Throughout the semester, instructors organize a variety of fun and informal activities for students and faculty, such as movie and game nights, shopping trips, potluck dinners, and scavenger hunts. Recent activities have included a Halloween celebration, bowling night, and an ice-skating party. To check out some of these activities, visit our photo gallery!
