My Grades Tool

Any grades that are released to students will appear in the My Grades tool. In My Grades, students in your class can see their own grades. To add the My Grades tool review this section of the Quick-Start Guide to Bb Vista. Once added, you can view the My Grades tool when in the Student View tab of your course.

The order of the grades that the students see in the My Grades tool is based on the order of the columns in the View All tab. To set up a specific order, go to the grade book and select the View All tab. Follow the instructions for Reordering and/or Releasing columns.

Releasing Grades to Students

You can release any column in your grade book to students. They can view any released grades in the My Grades tool. You may not want to release some columns: a text column used to describe the student, a pre-test score, the default Midterm and Final calculated columns that are in many grade books.

To release columns to My Grades:

  1. Select the Grade Book Options button.
