Nursing Exams

HESI | HESI A2

Register for your HESI Exit Exam through the Online Registration System. Candidates who use the online system will have priority seating.

HESI RN Exit Exam is offered in computer-based format during normal testing hours at the Counseling & Testing Center. The HESI RN Exit Exam costs $75 and is 4 hours long. Seating is limited and appointments should be made in advance.

Canceling and rescheduling the HESI RN Exit exam MUST be done more than 24 hours in advance or the examinee will forfeit the entire testing fee and repayment will be required to reschedule. Register for your HESI A2 Entrance Exam by calling (928) 523-2261. Online registration is not available for the HESI A2.

HESI A2 is a computer-based exam and is offered through the Counseling & Testing Center on designated dates. The HESI A2 costs $75 ($25 for the test and a $50 proctoring fee). Seating is limited and appointments should be made in advance.

HESI A2 2008 testing dates for the September 15 application deadline

August 26 - September 12

The HESI A2 is 6 hours long. The 5 hour online exam consists of 9 sections. In addition, there is a one hour essay portion. The online sections are described in detail on the HESI A2 website.

Students may take the HESI A2 exam only one time per application cycle. The School of Nursing application deadlines are

January 15 for the accelerated program
March 15 for fall semester
September 15 for spring semester

STEP 2: Please register through the Online Test Registration System to schedule an appointment to take the HESI A2. Candidates who use the online system will have priority seating. Registration can also be done at the Counseling & Testing Center or by calling (928) 523-2261. The proctoring fee for the HESI A2 is $50. Payment is due at the time of scheduling. Students must purchase their test through the School of Nursing prior to scheduling an appointment.

STEP 3: Students taking the HESI A2 must bring their purchase confirmation and 2 forms of identification to their testing appointment. Students who do not purchase the HESI A2 prior to their appointment will not be allowed to take their exam and will forfeit the entire proctoring fee.

Canceling and rescheduling the HESI A2 exam MUST be done more than 24 hours in advance or the examinee will forfeit the entire testing fee and repayment will be required to reschedule. If the exam is scheduled on a Monday, notification must be made no later than 8:30 am.
