For test dates, check the Testing Calendar. For registration and payment, contact ACT: (319) 337-1270. ACT student registration packets may be obtained at the NAU Counseling & Testing Center. The GMAT (Graduate Management Admissions Test) is no longer offered at the Counseling & Testing Center. For more information about the exam, to find a test center location, and to register online, visit the GMAT web site. The GRE (Graduate Record Examination) is no longer offered at the Counseling & Testing Center effective 8/2008. Students can now take this exam at Prometric Testing Center # 5368 Candidates must register for the GRE in advance through the GRE web site or by calling (866) 473-4373 or (609) 771-7670. GRE Subject Tests are offered twice annually at NAU. To register for GRE Subject exams visit the GRE web site. For specific dates that the GRE Subject is offered at NAU, check the Testing Calendar. The HESI A2 (Health Education Systems Inc. Admission Assessment Test) is a computer-based exam and is offered year round at the Counseling & Testing Center. Beginning in fall 2007, the HESI A2 will be required for admission to the School of Nursing RN program. The HESI A2 costs $75. The HESI A2 is 6 hours long. The exam consists of 9 sections and an essay. To register for the HESI A2 STEP 1: Purchase the test for $25 through the School
of Nursing STEP 2: Contact the Counseling & Testing Center at (928) 523-2261. The proctoring fee for the HESI A2 is $50. Payment is due at the time of scheduling. Students must purchase their test through the School of Nursing prior to scheduling an appointment. STEP 3: Students taking the HESI A2 must bring their purchase confirmation and 2 forms of identification to their testing appointment. Students who do not purchase the HESI A2 prior to their appointment will not be allowed to take their exam and will forfeit the entire proctoring fee. The LSAT (Law School Admission Test) is offered three times per year at NAU. For dates, check the Testing Calendar. For registration and payment options go to the Law School Admission Council website or call (215) 968-1001. LSAT infomation bulletins are also available at the Counseling & Testing Center. The MCAT (Medical College Admission Test) is no longer offered at the Counseling & Testing Center.. For registration and fees, contact the AMCAS: (202) 828-0600 or send them an email. The MAT (Miller Analogies Test), for admission to graduate programs, is given by appointment during general testing hours at the Counseling & Testing Center. This exam is computer-based. The fee for the test is $75 effective 9/1/07.
The SAT is administered seven times per year at NAU. Check the Testing Calendar for test dates and times. To register for the SAT, contact The College Board: (609) 771-7600. You may also obtain registration materials at the Counseling and Testing Center. The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is no longer offered at the Counseling & Testing Center effective 8/2008. Students may take their test at Prometric Testing Center # 5368 The test is only offered in iBT format on selected dates and registration is only available online.
