Mission and Diversity Statement

The Counseling & Testing Center (CTC) works to enhance the psychological growth, emotional well-being, and learning potential of students. This aim is accomplished by providing short-term psychological counseling, institutional testing, mental health and substance-abuse educational programming, and consultation.

At the CTC, we are committed to the promotion and affirmation of the broadest definition of diversity of individuals we serve. We recognize that prejudice and discrimination based on ethnic/racial identity, culture, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, nationality, body shape/size, physical/mental ability, age, religious beliefs, and socioeconomic status have traditionally affected mental health research and practice. The staff of CTC is committed to the elimination of such prejudice and discrimination. We respect the dignity and worth of the individual and strive for the protection of fundamental human rights.
