August 2007
Dear Returning Colleague:
I want to take this opportunity to thank you and your colleagues for letting NAU students know about the Counseling & Testing Center (CTC; diagonally across from Cline Library) services and for making appropriate referrals to us. We continue to work with students in a variety ways that include consulting with you about students, administering CLEP tests, and responding to psychological emergencies.
If you would like copies of the CTC brochures to handout, or have a member of our staff come talk with your department or agency about these services, please give me call.
(I always find it helpful to put faces with names!)
As of August 30, 2004, there is a change you need to know about, for it may affect the way you tell students about CTC and how you send them to us. Historically, CTC counseling services have been free to students. Given recent NAU budget and staff reductions, students can now receive an initial consultation with a counselor for free. Counseling services beyond this initial consultation will have (very low!) costs attached; please see Eligibility and Costs for more specific information.
When you get time to surf, please visit our entire web site at http://www.nau.edu/ctc/. If there are other ways we can be helpful to you as you work with students, please let us know.
Thanks for your attention and for passing this information on to your colleagues and your students.
Sincerely,

Chris Gunn, Ph.D.
Director
