eJournal of Education Policy invites papers that take seriously the borad issues of rights to an education in the public domain and the debates that emerge around differing opinions regarding educational policy making in a democratic society. Invitation for Third Party Comment

The College of Education at Northern Arizona University is scheduled for an accreditation review by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) during Spring 2009. Federal regulations require that accrediting agencies allow for public comment on the qualifications of programs undergoing accreditation. Northern Arizona University recognizes that graduates, parents, school employees, and community organizations have valuable perspectives on the quality of its programs that prepare teachers and other school personnel, and invites interested parties to submit written testimony to:

Comments must address substantive matters related to the quality of professional education programs and should specify the respondent’s relationship to the institution. Copies of all correspondence received will be sent to Northern Arizona University for comment prior to the review. No anonymous testimony will be considered.

Letters of comment should be received no later than Wednesday, December 31, 2008.
