Welcome

Northern Arizona University’s
Trademark Licensing Program exists to protect and promote the indicia (name,
logos, graphics, marks, etc.) owned by Northern Arizona University. The goal is to ensure proper use and
application of Northern Arizona University trademarks, to strengthen
relationships with retailers, licensees, campus units, student organizations,
alumni and fans, and to generate revenue that funds various campus programs and
facilities.
NAU’s Trademark Licensing Program was established in 1993
and is housed under The Office of Alumni Relations. Through a contracted agreement, the Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC) assists NAU
in monitoring commercial and internal use of the indicia. Individuals, groups, campus units and
organizations, both on and off campus, seeking to use Northern Arizona
University indicia must use licensed vendors and have prior permission and
artwork approval from the University Trademark Licensing Director. CLC is responsible for the license (official
permission for third party vendors to use NAU indicia) administration of
approximately 130 vendors producing products bearing NAU trademarks.
This site is designed to help you learn more about
trademarks and licensing, acquire information about how to obtain permission to
produce items containing NAU’s name and official marks, understand how to correctly
use NAU’s logos, and find companies licensed to use NAU logos on merchandise,
apparel, and other goods.
