Academic Probation  

Students will be placed on academic probation after the semester in which their GPA drops below the NAU minimum GPA requirement. (2.0 after completion of 30 units and a slide scale for those student with less then 30 units)

15-29less than 1.9
30 or moreless than 2.0

Terms of Probation

 

Once a student has been placed on academic probation, they can continue to take classes at NAU under these restrictions: 
  • Course enrollment is limited to 13 units
  • Term GPA requirement of 2.0
Students will continue on academic probation until their cumulative GPA is back up to a 2.0. 
If a student's term GPA drops below a 2.0 while on academic probation, they will be academically suspended.
