Being a student can be tough when you do not know the appropriate resources available to you to succeed. Below is information on study skills, academic probation, and academic suspension.
It is important to have a strong foundation when it comes to study skills in order to be successful in college. It is important to understand:
- Time Management
- Test Taking Strategies
- Note Taking
Student will be placed on academic probation if their GPAs fall below a 2.0. There is important tips for students on academic probation to be successful and help return to good academic standing.
Suspension happens when a students cumulative GPA and subsequent term GPA have both dropped below a 2.0, students are subject to the following three restrictions:
- Cancellation of enrollment in the next term
- Cancellation of university housing in the next term
- Unable to enroll into any NAU courses.
Students must file an appeal in order to return to NAU after suspension.
