The Virginia Blankenship Undergraduate Research Award
The Virginia Blankenship
Undergraduate Research Award is given
to undergraduate students for financial support to present at a
research conference. Applications are available in the Psychology office (building 65, room 229) January 2 through February 24, 2013. Deadline for application is February 24, 5:00 pm.
To apply, submit:
- a one-page (2-3 paragraphs) paper
describing future educational goals and career objectives
- unofficial transcripts
- copy of resume
- description of the research conference
where you wish to present—include dates, location, copy of the abstract
submitted and acceptance notice if available
Eligibility
- cumulative 3.25 GPA or higher
- junior or senior Psychology major
The William Gibson Outstanding Student in Psychology and Public Service Award
The William Gibson
Outstanding Student in Psychology and Public Service Award recognizes outstanding
students that have demonstrated high academic standards and a desire to
better the community through volunteer activity or public service. Applications are available in the Psychology office (building 65, room 229) January 2 through February 24, 2013. Deadline for application is February 24, 5:00 pm.
To apply, submit:
- an essay (2 pages or less) explaining how
psychology studies and community involvement overlap, and the impact both
experiences have made on your life or future direction
- unofficial transcripts
- copy of resume
Eligibility
- cumulative 3.25 GPA or higher
- enrolled at senior status
The Vicki Green Psychology Thesis Award
The Vicki Green Psychology
Thesis Award provides support to psychology
graduate students for thesis research. Applications are available in the Psychology office (building 65, room 229) throughout the year.
Eligibility
- thesis proposal approved by thesis
committee
- demonstrated expenditures
The Vicki Green Graduate School Travel Award
The Vicki Green Graduate School Travel Award financially
assists senior and graduate psychology students who have accepted an invitation by an
accredited graduate school to interview for admittance into a psychology (or
closely related) graduate program. Applications are available in the Psychology office (building 65, room 229) throughout the year.
To apply, submit:
- a one-page (2-3 paragraphs) describing future educational goals and career objectives
- a description of the graduate program for which he/she is being interviewed and a copy of the interview invitation that includes location and dates or the names of the person and phone number who extended the interview invitation
- unofficial transcripts
- copy of resume
Eligibility
- enrolled at NAU spring or fall term
- GPA of 3.5 or higher
- senior or graduate psychology student
The Edward C. and Mary E. Mills Scholarship
The Edward C. and Mary E. Mills
Scholarship awards psychology
majors based on cumulative grade point average and an essay about future
educational goals and career objectives.
Eligibility
- full-time undergraduate or graduate
- minimum 3.0 GPA
