Research and teaching interests

My primary teaching interests include rhetoric, political discourse, public communication, conflict management, organizational communication, and research methods. My research interests include the study of environmental communication in the context of public debates over wildfire, wolf recovery, and public policy.  I am also interested in political communication, especially the rhetorical presidency.
