Angele Anderfuren is an award-winning journalist with enthusiasm for her work and passion for education.

Angele spent ten years in television news as a producer and writer for TV stations in Chicago, Dallas, Austin, and Salt Lake City and six years in online and print journalism for local, regional and national publications. Her stories include investigative journalism, long and short form special projects, lifestyle/entertainment/travel pieces, and daily news features. She has also worked as the communications coordinator, magazine editor and social media manager for NAU's Alumni Relations.

Angele is a Lecturer of Electronic Media & Film at Northern Arizona University’s School of Communication, where she is advisor for the student TV newscast NAZ Today and teaches courses in news producing, news writing, news reporting, social media and convergence media. Other teaching interests include Edward R Murrow, journalism films, blogging, strategic communication and other multimedia courses.

Angele has a Master’s degree in journalism from the Schieffer School of Journalism at Texas Christian University as well as a Bachelor of Journalism in Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin. She also has an interest in graphic design and has taken graphic design certificate classes from Loyola University in Chicago.
