In exchange for your service you’ll get...
Many AmeriCorps members feel that the biggest benefit they get is the satisfaction of incorporating service into their lives and making a difference in their communities.
The other benefits you’ll receive vary depending upon how many hours per week you choose to serve.
You’ll receive a living allowance to help cover the cost of basic expenses. Your living allowance will be disbursed in biweekly paychecks over the course of your service. See the box on the right for approximate award amounts.
